Our services
Spotting opportunities
We scan your stack for the places AI compounds value — ranked by impact, not hype.
Integration
Models, prompts and pipelines wired into what you already ship. Vendor-neutral by default.
Operations
Evaluations, guardrails and cost tracking. Production-grade, not demo-grade.
Our process
Four stages. One team. A process refined across hundreds of projects — designed to keep clients in the loop and momentum on the work.
- 01
Discover
Research, stakeholder interviews, and data — we map the problem space before touching a pixel.
- 02
Define
Translate research into a sharp strategy: positioning, scope, and a roadmap you can trust.
- 03
Design
Creative execution — identity, interface, motion, and prototypes that make the strategy real.
- 04
Deliver
Build, ship, measure. We stay with you post-launch and keep iterating on what the data shows.

The layer above
AI-driven processes & operations.
Not a service we sell on the side. It's the craft layer we bring to every engagement — opportunity scouting where it pays off, then the integration and implementation that actually moves the needle. Runs across strategy, web, and automation. Runs quietly.
- 01
Opportunity Mapping
We scan your strategy, products and operations for the places AI compounds value — ranked by impact and feasibility, not hype.
- 02
AI-Driven Product Features
Generative, retrieval-augmented, agentic — designed with the UX that keeps users trusting the output instead of second-guessing it.
- 03
AI-Powered Automation
Where rules can't reach, we wire AI in with the guardrails production deserves — routing, extraction, summarisation, decision support.
- 04
Evaluations & Guardrails
Every prompt tested, every output traced. You ship AI features you can defend — to users, to finance, and to legal.
- 05
Vendor-Neutral Integration
Anthropic, OpenAI, self-hosted weights — we pick the model that fits and keep the integration swappable as the frontier shifts.
- 06
Observability & Cost
Drift, latency, cost and user outcomes tracked from day one. You own the capability, not a vendor's lock-in.
OUR JOURNEY
Your Digital Future. Mashed with Vision and Craft.
A digital agency blending design, code, and strategy — partnering with ambitious brands to ship products that feel inevitable.
01 · DISCOVER
Discover. We uncover the shape of your problem.
Research, stakeholder interviews, and data — the rigorous work that happens before a single pixel is drawn. You leave this phase with a map of the opportunity and the constraints that matter.
02 · DEVELOP
Develop. We ship products that feel inevitable.
Design, code, and launch under one roof — so the thing we concepted is the thing we build. Tight feedback loops, real users touching it early, measurable progress every week.
03 · EVOLVE
Evolve. We keep shipping after launch day.
Post-launch we measure, learn, and iterate. A product is never finished — it just gets closer to what users actually need. We stay with you for the long game.
Tell us about your next big idea.
The full mix
Strategy · Development · Automation — in one room.
Picking one slice works. Picking all three together is where the lift compounds. Here's what changes when we run the full stack end-to-end:
- 01
One team, one roadmap.
Strategy, design, and engineering decisions made in the same room — no hand-off tax, no vendor borders to manage.
- 02
Tighter feedback loops.
A design change ships to prod this week, not next quarter. The gap between idea and validated usage is measured in days.
- 03
Automation baked in from day one.
Workflows, integrations, and internal tools land with the product — not bolted on two quarters after launch.
- 04
Single source of truth.
One backlog. One shared understanding. Zero context lost in translation between strategy, design, and build.
- 05
A partnership that outlives launch.
We keep shipping after go-live — measure, learn, evolve. The handover isn't the end, it's the next stage.
Meet the team
The people behind the work — a small team covering strategy, design, engineering, and automation. We'd rather have our hands on the product itself, and bring in the right people when a project needs it.

Frequently asked questions
A few we hear most often. Don't see yours? Just write to us.
- Where is Mashed Lab based?
- Our studio is in Graz, Austria, in the south of the country. We work on-site with regional clients across Styria and remotely with clients across Austria, Germany, Switzerland, and beyond.
- Do you work with clients outside Austria?
- Yes. Most of our engagements happen across the DACH region, and we regularly work with English-speaking clients across Europe. We deliver in both English and German.
- What does a typical engagement look like?
- Most projects start with a discovery and strategy phase (2–4 weeks), then move into design and engineering sprints of 4–12 weeks. Long-term partnerships and CTO- or COO-as-a-Service engagements are also common.
- How quickly can you start?
- New engagements typically begin within 2–4 weeks of the first conversation. For urgent work we can sometimes accommodate a faster start — get in touch and we will tell you honestly what is possible.
- Which industries do you work with?
- We have deep experience in industrial manufacturing, sports and outdoor retail, e-commerce, and B2B software — but we are happy to work with any organisation that wants to build serious digital product.
- Do you build with AI? And does that make my project cheaper?
- Yes, deeply — across our own tooling, our coding workflows, and the products we ship for clients. What it actually changes for you isn't the price; it's where the time goes. Less of it is spent on mechanical typing, more on architecture, judgment calls, and review. That tends to make the product better. Sometimes faster too — but that's the side effect, not the headline.
- What happens after launch — do you maintain the product?
- Most products only get interesting after the first deploy — that's when real users start finding the edges. We stay on through that phase by default: maintenance, iteration, and the strategic conversations about what's worth building next. Our CTO- and COO-as-a-Service tracks exist for exactly that ongoing partnership. We're not the kind of studio that ships and disappears.
- Are there projects you say no to?
- Yes. Mostly when we can't see a way to do the work to the standard we'd want our name on, or when the scope is shaped around someone else's plan we don't believe in. We'd rather say no early than build the wrong thing well. Honesty about fit saves both sides months.
